Books for Africa

Some of you have inquired about sending books directly to us for the libraries we are helping to establish. It would be prohibitively expensive for you individually to ship books directly to us. Books for Africa/Books for Swaziland is a nonprofit in the US which has teamed up with the Peace Corps and has a good system for collecting and shipping used and overstocked books. The books are sent by cargo ship to Durban, SA and then trucked to Swaziland. If you feel so inclined, giving a donation would help more than sending books. PC volunteers in Swaziland need to raise approximately $7,000 or half the cost of shipping and training school librarians.
